Welcome to the Durham College Shaft Alignment Trainer
When the shafts of two pieces of rotating equipment are joined together, proper
alignment will allow them to run smoothly and increase their working life. Here you
will learn the basic principles of shaft alignment based on the “Rim and Face”
method.
In this trainer you will:
- Be introduced to angular and offset misalignment, which occurs in both the Vertical and Horizontal planes.
- Learn how the couplings attached to the shafts can be used to align them.
- Follow along with a step by step walk-through of a shaft alignment process.
